Yearly Commodity Required (YCR) is a required fuel true-up method for customers who hold M12 Transportation Contract(s) with Enbridge Gas at Dawn. This true-up is applied each quarter and represents the difference between the quantity of fuel supplied by the M12 customer to Enbridge Gas and the actual quantity of fuel Enbridge Gas used to provide the service during the same period.

A YCRR Hub account is set up for each M12 transportation customer to house the quarterly fuel imbalance and post the remittance requirements. For customers with multiple M12 Transportation contracts, the fuel imbalance reflects a cumulative total of all contracts. Approximately 45 days after each quarter, reporting details of your transportation fuel imbalance are available on Enerline. Customers nominate to/from this YCRR Hub account to clear the required balance by the end of the following quarter without incurring a fee.

The following is an example of the Q1 timeline processes:

Example of YCR Process timelines
Date Task
April Fuel Imbalances calculated for Q1
May 15 YCR HUB accounts set up
May 15 Communication email sent to Shippers
May 15-June 30 No fees to clear the YCR HUB account
June 30 Transfer remaining balance to regular HUB

*At the end of the quarter, any remaining balance will be transferred to the standard HUB account and standard HUB transaction charges apply.

At a minimum, Enbridge Gas is required to reconcile fuel imbalances on an annual basis using Ontario Energy Board-approved formulas. Based on Customer/Shipper feedback, we are currently calculating and applying the true-up amount on a quarterly basis.
