One effective way of recovering waste heat is through the use of a condensing economizer. In fact, by installing a condensing economizer over a traditional economizer, companies can improve overall heat recovery and steam system efficiency by up to 10%. The main difference between the two types of economizers is that condensing economizers operate where the temperature of the flue gases can be lowered enough to recover both sensible and latent heat. This results in additional heat recovered and potential savings.
