Everything you need to know about Your Enbridge Gas Ohio bill

To better understand the various charges and terms that appear on your bill, view the bill samples in the sections below and refer to the details for each numbered item.

Explanation of bill

1. Credits and charges since your last bill
This section shows the ending balance on your last bill, any fees charged and any payments received.

2. Current charges
A list of the individual charges that make up your total current charges (3). Refer to the back of the bill for definitions of some of the terms. Learn the meanings of abbreviations, acronyms, and industry terms that we use for Energy Choice with our glossary of terms.

3. Total current charges
The sum of the total Enbridge Gas Ohio Charges and the gas supplier charges.

4. Total account balance
The sum of Credits and Charges Since Your Last Bill (1) and Total Current Charges (3).

Meter and usage

5. Monthly usage comparison
Data on your gas usage, including average daily temperatures, your usage over the last year and your total annual use. Gas use is measured in the unit MCF, equal to 1,000 cubic feet.

6. Billing period and meter reading
Shows the meter reading, read type (actual or estimate) and read date for the current and last bill.

7. Meter reading
The difference between the current and last meter reading is multiplied by the billing rate to determine the Gas Cost (2).
