Exchange Service

Do you want to move gas in or out of Ontario? Would you like to benefit from basis differentials?

Using our Exchange Transportation service, you can receive/deliver gas at one point on our system and receive/deliver an equal quantity of gas at an off-system point.

This service can help you meet short term gas requirements outside of Southwestern Ontario without a long-term transportation commitment with pipelines upstream or downstream of the Dawn Hub.

Services highlights

  • It is an interruptible service
    • Firm service may be available.
    • Reliability of service is subject to pipeline scheduling at the exchange location.
    • To better understand where the improved interruptible transport (IT) reliability ranks, check out our priority of service schedule (POS).
  • To improve IT reliability, you can choose to enter into a demand charge rate or pay a premium variable rate.
  • Exchange services must be nominated 2 hours prior to Timely nomination cycle (1 p.m. central time).
  • Nomination changes at other North American Energy Service Board (NAESB) cycles are negotiable.

  • Enbridge Gas system points: Dawn Hub, Parkway, Kirkwall, Union St. Clair (DTE MichCon), Ojibway and Union Bluewater
  • Off system points: various points on TC Energy, Trunkline, Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line, Alliance, and Vector

  • Negotiated demand charge and/or variable charge.
