Owned by Enbridge Inc., a Canadian-based leader in energy transportation and distribution, the Enbridge Gas Distribution and Storage business unit is comprised of four natural gas utilities that collectively provide safe, affordable, reliable energy to about 6.3 million customers in Ontario, Quebec, Ohio, Utah, Idaho and Wyoming.

Our story

Enbridge Gas Ontario is Canada’s largest natural gas storage, transmission and distribution company, with a 175-year history of serving customers. The distribution business provides safe, affordable, reliable energy to about 3.9 million customers and is innovating to contribute to a lower-carbon energy future. The storage and transmission business offers a variety of storage and transportation services to customers at the Dawn Hub, the largest integrated underground storage facility in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

Enbridge Gas Ohio serves 1.2 million customers in 35 Ohio counties. For 126 years the utility has provided safe, reliable and affordable natural gas service, and is advancing the transition to sustainable energy through net-zero emissions targets and investments in innovative lower-carbon energy solutions.

Enbridge Gas in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho and Wexpro Company

Enbridge Gas serves 1.2 million customers in 33 counties in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. For 95 years the utility has provided safe, reliable and affordable natural gas service, and is innovating to contribute to a lower-carbon energy future. Enbridge Gas has a cost-of-service supply agreement with Wexpro, a natural gas exploration and production company that helps ensure the reliability and affordability of natural gas supplies for customers in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.

Gazifère, established in the Outaouais area in 1959, owns and operates a 1,000 km gas system serving more than 43,500 residential, commercial, institutional and industrial customers in the city of Gatineau and the municipality of Chelsea.

Our Enbridge environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals represent the next stage of our evolution as an ESG leader to ensure we’re positioned to grow sustainably for decades to come. These include:

Net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our operations by 2050^1,3, with an interim target to reduce GHG emissions intensity from our operations 35 percent by 2030^1,2.
Increased representation⁴of diverse groups within our workforce by 2025, including a goal of 28 percent from ethnic and racial groups, along with new initiatives to enhance supplier diversity.
Strengthening diversity on our Board with a goal of 40 percent representation of women and 20 percent from underrepresented ethnic and racial groups by 2025.
Annual safety and reliability targets that drive continuous improvement towards our goal of zero incidents, injuries and occupational injuries, and implementation of robust cyber defense programs.
